A 5-Step Roadmap to Optimizing Egg Quality and Mitochondrial Health.
I’m almost 45 now, but my journey to motherhood really began when I was 40. It was the longest three years of my life. It eventually took donor eggs to bring my son home when I was 43—he was my fifth pregnancy. Since having him, I’ve had two more miscarriages, for a total of seven pregnancies.
Honestly, I wouldn’t want a “do-over” because I wouldn’t trade the baby I have now for anything. BUT… if you could have promised me my son, I would have done things differently.
I’ve wanted to share this for a long time, but I kept telling myself, “I’m not a doctor or a specialist, so who would care?” I’m ignoring that voice today. I’m sharing this anyway because I hope it helps someone else navigating this path. To be clear: This is NOT medical advice.
The idea for this guide was sparked after my last two losses, which happened back-to-back. I’ve always hoped—I still want to believe—it’s possible to have a baby with my own eggs. My son was proof that my body knew how to stay pregnant. That’s what made those recent losses so devastating and frankly, left me dumbfounded.
That’s what sent me down the rabbit hole of reading It Starts With The Egg by Rebecca Fett. It’s amazing information, but it’s so technical and overwhelming. I got halfway through and realized two things:
- If I had to do it all over again, I would read this book, make it a checklist and do everything it says before going to a specialist.
- It’s about egg quality which I believe is my problem.
I took that massive amount of scientific research and, over the last few months, distilled it into an easy-to-read, 5-step guide. It covers:
- Environmental Detox: Swapping out endocrine disruptors.
- Dietary Strategy: Stabilizing blood sugar and reducing inflammation.
- The Supplement Plan: Both basic and advanced protocols.
- Lab Testing: The “hidden obstacle” tests to ask your doctor for.
- Lifestyle: Supporting your circadian rhythm and mitochondrial health.
I created this to give you a simple starting point. You don’t have to read the 300+ pages alone; I’ve mapped it out for you below!
